Beach Plum Interiors is a boutique interior design firm located in the heart of historic Marblehead. Just as an architect designs buildings, we design interiors. The difference between a good space and a great space is intentional design. Our psychology of design process allows clients to live life surrounded by what matters most. We believe in living life beautifully, but beautiful is just the beginning. How we interact, flow and function in our spaces is an essential part of our daily lives. You likely have a vision for how you want to function and feel inside your home, but you may not know how to make your vision a reality. Hi, my name is Christiana Plum, but please call me ‘iana, I founded and manage Beach Plum Interiors. Starting my business was a means of creating a better life for both my son and myself as well as all those I serve. As a single parent I realized if I wanted a better life for my child I had to take a leap of faith and start my business. Thinking about how I was going to do it all, almost stopped me from starting my company years ago. I was already feeling overwhelmed and It seemed unrealistic that I’d get everything done as both an entrepreneur and as the mother I wanted to be. But I found the truth in balance, balance in what I find beautiful. This clarity was life changing.
I love living and working in Marblehead. There is so much beauty in this idyllic little town, raw natural beauty as well as a supportive, nurturing community. Love abounds in this tiny town. You can often find me recharging outdoors; daily long walks through town, shopping the farmer’s market, kayaking through the harbor, detoxing in yoga or day tripping along the coast with my son.
