Wow! What a Great Fall Fair!

Wow! What a Great Fall Fair!

WOW! What a great day we had at our First Annual Fall Fair! The sun was shining, the Lee Mansion Gardens were gorgeous and we had a blast! We’re truly humbled by the incredible feedback we’ve received already. Thank you!

We want to thank Lauren McCormack and Amy Durbin at Marblehead Museum for helping make our Fall Fair idea a reality! Thank you to all the FABULOUS artists and bakers for being a part of this amazing day! Thank you to Robert at The Landing Restaurant Marblehead for sponsoring the entertainment. Paul Simonelli’s music was the perfect addition to the day!

Thank you to Marblehead Garden Center Inc and Shubie’s Marketplace Wines and Spirits for donating 55 pumpkins for the pumpkin decorating kits. We sold out and RAISED $560 for the Marblehead Food Pantry!!!!!!

But most of all…we want to thank all the people who showed up, waited in line, wore masks, respected social distancing, purchased art and treats from the vendors, donated to the Marblehead Food Pantry and laughed and socialized safely in the Lee Mansion Gardens. The Fall Fair was a success because of YOU! Thank you for the support!!

One more thing, the winner of our drawing was Anne M! Congratulations Anne!

Thank you,

Melissa & Amy

Black Joe’s Pond

Black Joe’s Pond

This week our Marblehead Walk led us to Black Joe’s Pond off Gingerbread Hill. It’s one of my favorite spots in Marblehead, no matter the season! Have you taken a walk in this area or know the history of Black Joe? Check out this article for more information.

Week of Festivities

Week of Festivities

We can’t think of summer in Marblehead without thinking about the Festival of Arts. For over 50 years, the festival has been a celebration of all things art related, attracting incredible artists from near and far. Whether you enjoy film, music, writing, painting, photography, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Marblehead is a community bursting with arts and culture and it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate that on such a grand scale every year. We appreciate all the hard work the volunteers and board members do to create such an amazing event. A lot of time and dedication, all year round, goes into making the Festival of Arts the great success it is!

The 2019 festival runs from July 4th – July 7th. To learn more about all of the events happening around town during the week of the festival, go  to our culture page – https://discovermhd.com/culture/
